Misty Leon has spent nearly 25 years at the intersection of law, business, and strategy. Her career spans large global law firms, partnership in a boutique firm focused on benefits and executive compensation, and serving as Senior Counsel at a Fortune 500 company, where she managed outside counsel and led cross-functional initiatives to scale legal support and align it with business goals. Misty also contributed to the company's AI initiatives, evaluating application of emerging tools to legal and HR functions, and deepened her governance experience by serving on its policies team.

That breadth is rare, and it’s exactly what informs her work today. Having run a firm alongside other lawyers and worked inside a business, Misty understands what it takes to deliver legal services efficiently and meet the expectations of business clients. She is also focused on one of the most consequential conversations in the profession today: how law firms can incorporate AI responsibly, using practical frameworks that balance innovation with sound professional judgment.

Misty founded Practical Counsel Advisors because she understands the pressure of delivering high-quality work while managing the demands of practice, and is passionate about helping firms build more effective, sustainable ways of working.
